This page is an index of photos from the International Federation Of Leather Guilds Annual Show that took place October, 1999. The IFOLG Annual Show is looked forward to by
Leathercrafters and Leather Guilds from around the world all year long. This year, the IILG theme was computer related items made of leather, since we are a bunch of computer users. :) See below for the on-line version, and pictures from the show!
Image 12 -- Armin Dobstetter's 1st place motorcycle seat. Leather cut-out piece was stitched over stingray. Also, the "braided" effect along edge was actually created using two stamps.
Image 21 -- Masked mandolin, on Leder-Guild's display table.
Image 22 -- Leather mask, on Leder-Guild's display table. The "lines" are actually very thin pieces of leather that are rolled tightly.
Image 23 -- Ornate leather boot, on Leder-Guild's display table.
Image 25 -- Tony Laier's beautiful fawn, displayed with Leder-Gilde. Notice leaves at top that overlap his frame. He did a beautiful job on this picture.
Image 28 -- Armin Dobstetter's motorcycle seat, on
Leder-Guild's display table. There were very tiny holes punched throughout the seat area in which you could see a silver backing show through them. Also nicely done.
Image 29 -- Leather box done by Leder-Gilde member Toshikazu Yazawa from Japan.
Image 30 -- Bill Gomer's tooled, western saddle (full size)--No. 1.
Image 31 -- Another tooled saddle done by Bill Gomer on display--No. 2.
Image 32 -- Close-up of Bill Gomer's saddle No. 2.
Congratulations to all our winning members at the Fed Show this year!!!
Here are the listings of winners thanks to our IILG member Rick Vine (also of
the Columbine Guild). I would like to congratulate him and his guild on a
very nice show also!!!
To all those who entered but didn't win this year- that's how everyone starts
out- keep trying and improve and remember to enter next year to see how far
